Grow them long, wear them proud, and for God's sake keep them waxed!

Well its September again and that can only mean one thing - its time to spend a month celebrating your manliness with a bunch of friends, a few strangers, lots of cops, Wilford Brimley and the rest of the mustache loving world.

Everybody is welcome to participate in Mustache Month and even to post comments. Both can be done without getting permission from me. If you want to post an article or be listed on the side under "Proud Participants & Fans" you'll need for me to add you.

WARNING: While growing a mustache will provide you with instant machismo and camaraderie with the 46 other guys with mustaches, its not without risks. The sudden apprearance of a mustache has been know to cause intense jealousy amongst "significant others" as they struggle to deal with the increased attention you'll receive as you strut proudly about with an impecably groomed upper lip accessory.

Is Promise to a Fish Worth Less Than Promise to a Human?

Let it be know that Andy is welching or at least delinquent on a deal he made with a selfless fish that just wanted to see him in a mustache.

While visiting Missoula last Sunday, Andy remarked on his way out to the Clark Fork River, "If I catch my first pike today, I'll shave to a mustache tonight." Somehow hearing about the deal and desperately wanting to see Andy in a mustache, the "Tiny Tim" of Northern Pikes willingly clamped onto Andy's hook within 15 minutes of his arrival at the river.

To this date, no photo of Andy with a newly styled mustache has surfaced. Suspicions are that Andy is stalling due to concerns over being the only mustache at his office. For shame, Andy. For shame. You don't see Tiny Tim whining about being the only pike in Donny's freezer, do you?

Rumor is that Tiny Tim's brethren have promised that if Andy comes anywhere near the Clark Fork River with less than a sweet mustache, they intend to use their razor-like teeth to rectify the situation.
